Any type of building, any sector, any area, small communal areas of blocks of flats to HMOs to tower blocks to schools to factories to steelworks to chemical plants = Any building covered by the Fire Safety Order, and sometimes some that aren’t.

Managing

Fire safety management & consultancy

Advice and guidance on managing fire safety in multiple buildings or just in one, managing risk assessment programmes, managing communal areas in blocks of flats, mobility scooters, demolition projects, new construction, signage advice, locations of fire extinguishers, types of fire alarms and detection – giving advice on subjects that might not seem related to fire safety but are or could be affected or affect peoples safety.

Training

Any type of fire training

Fire extinguishers, fire marshal, basic awareness, fire risk assessment, toolbox talks/CPD on specific parts of fire safety such as fire stopping, building regulations, history of fire, fire investigation etc – can be done with equipment if space.

Engineering

Fire engineering

Writing building fire strategies for new and existing buildings, guidance on building design for new buildings or refurbishment to comply with AD(B) or a fire engineered approach using one of the British Standards, working with architects, builders, building control, M&E consultants, working as part of the RIBA plan of works team for a project – advice.
